Samantha Rodriguez (Camarillo, CA/Adolfo Camarillo) have been selected as 2025 Division III Women's Volleyball Academic All-District honorees for District 3.
The all-district teams are selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). In Division III, District 3 encompasses all schools in New York State. Recipients must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and meet certain requirements in terms of contests competed in and athletic accomplishments.
Ballou is a physical education major with a 3.50 overall GPA entering the fall semester. A third-team All-SUNYAC selection, Ballou played in 32 matches, 29 as a starter, and appeared in all 114 sets during the season. She finished second on the team with 301 kills and also registered 119 digs and 31 blocks.
Millspaugh is a communication studies major who entered the fall semester with a 3.58 overall GPA. Millspaugh earned honorable mention all-region and second-team All-SUNYAC recognition. She finished the season with 228 kills, a .385 attack percentage and 108 blocks. She led Cortland in attack percentage (minimum 50 attempts) and blocks, and she was third in kills while appearing in 111 sets over 32 matches, 23 as a starter.
Pirrera is an academic all-district selection for the second straight year. The inclusive childhood education major had a 3.89 overall GPA prior to the fall semester. The SUNYAC Player of the Year and an honorable mention AVCA All-American, Pirrera finished the season with 435 kills, a .226 attack percentage, 54 aces, a .975 serve reception percentage, 338 digs and 54 blocks. She led the Red Dragons in kills and aces and was second in digs
Rodriguez is a sport management major with a 3.51 overall GPA prior to the fall. She played in 31 matches and 85 total sets and finished with 406 assists (4.8 per set) along with 26 aces and 141 digs.
Cortland finished the season with a 24-8 record. The Red Dragons won their fifth straight SUNYAC title, going 9-0 in the league's regular season for the fifth consecutive year and sweeping Buffalo State and Oswego in the conference tournament. Cortland lost to Christopher Newport University in the opening round of the NCAA Division III playoffs.
