Cortland (6-2) will face Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.) Monday at 8 p.m.

Cortland led 31-24 at halftime and 55-50 with six minutes remaining. Dubuque (8-2) scored 13 of the next 17 points and led 63-59 with less than two minutes left.

Cortland hit the first of two free throws with 1:27 left to pull the Red Dragons within three. Dubuque missed shots on its next two possessions, sandwiched around a Cortland missed 3-pointer, and Cortland called timeout with 17 seconds left. Coston hit a layup, for his 1,000th career point, with 11 seconds left and was fouled. He sank the free throw to tie the game.

Cortland committed a foul, its sixth of the half, with 3.8 seconds left. After the restart, Hibicke hit his first 3-pointer of the game to give the Spartans the win.

Nolan Raymond (Queens Village/Vermont Academy (VT)) made 5-of-7 3-pointers and led Cortland with 17 points.
Kendall Arcuri (State Island/St. Joseph by-the-Sea) hit 4-of-9 treys and ended with 16 points, six rebounds and three assists, while Coston finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Kendrick Wilson (Wheatley Heights/Moravian Prep (NC)) added 11 points and three assists and
Joel Davis (Watertown) blocked three shots and grabbed four rebounds.

Jacob Williams paced Dubuque with 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting and pulled down eight rebounds. Grady Thompson posted 12 points, 12 rebounds and three steals and Jalen Scott recorded 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Cortland shot 39 percent from the floor overall and 36 percent (10-of-28) from the 3-point arc. The Red Dragons were 11-of-18 from the foul line. Dubuque finished at 42 percent shooting overall but only 19 percent (3-of-16) from 3-point range. The Spartans were 13-of-20 from the foul line.
