PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Autumn Adkins (Aledo, TX) won uneven bars and tied for first on floor exercise as the Cortland women's gymnastics team finished second in a tri-meet with Springfield and host Rhode Island College.
 
RIC won the meet with a score of 191.875, followed by Cortland at 189.675 and Springfield at 184.975. Cortland's score included a season-best 47.65 on uneven bars.
 
Adkins won bars with a career-high 9.75 and matched her season best on floor with a 9.775 to share top honors with two other gymnasts.
 
Ninabella English (Winter Park, FL) placed third on bars with a career-high 9.575. Tessa Sutton (Fairport/The Ogburn School) finished third on balance beam with a 9.625 and tied for ninth on floor exercise with a season/career-high 9.675. Gianna Mirigliano (Springfield, PA) tied for third on vault (9.625) and finished ninth on beam (9.325).
 
Kiana Wong (Elk Grove, CA/Pleasant Grove) finished fifth on bars (9.475) and Rianna Adams (South Setauket/Ward Melville) finished sixth in the event (9.45). Anna Lee Dobson (Hueytown, AL/Valley Creek Academy) was sixth on beam (9.425) and Tayah Graham (Syracuse/Liverpool) tied for sixth on vault (9.60).
 
Ava Miranov (Morgantown, WV/University) and Rory Allan (Dubai, United Arab Emirates/Gems International School Al Khail) tied for eighth on vault with scores of 9.575 - a career high for Miranov and a season high for Allan. Taylor Goldstein (Dix Hills/Half Hollow Hills West) tied for eighth on bars (9.40).
 
RIC's Olivia Keyes won the all-around (38.725) and beam (9.775). RIC's Payton Greene won vault (9.725), and Keyes and RIC's Aaliyah Krause tied for first with Adkins on floor (9.775).
 
Cortland will host Ithaca in a dual meet on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m.

Coming off of a BIG week, we tried to rally one last time but were met with some scoring challenges. The team continued to show great individual routines and to fight for every tenth. I'm extremely impressed with what they put out on the floor today and we know exactly what we need to focus on as we come to the last two weeks of the regular season with meets at home.
