FREDONIA, N.Y. and ALFRED, N.Y. - The Cortland women's swimming and diving team finished up the regular-season with a 116-63 dual meet win at Fredonia on Saturday, and the Red Dragons' divers competed Saturday at the Alfred University Diving Invitational.

Cortland's win at Fredonia featured eight wins in individual events, including some as exhibition entries due to the team score, as well as top times in both relays.

Cassidy Torres (Brooklyn/High School for Health Professionals & Human Services) turned in winning times of 26.39 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and 1:03.89 in the 100-yard butterfly.
Sophie Amering (Hilton) won the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:25.67),
Tristinye Martinez-Reyes (Queens/Benjamin Cardozo) was the 200-yard freestyle champion (2:06.31) and
Erin Galligan (Rochester/Our Lady of Mercy) won the 200-yard IM (2:24.69).

As exhibition entries,
Peyton Glor (Tonawanda/Mount Saint Mary Academy) won the 100-yard backstroke (1:06.27),
Clarissa Ball (Selkirk/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) was the 500-yard freestyle winner (5:39.85) and
Mackenzie Dickman (Montgomery/Valley Central) placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.23).

The tandem of
Rhianna Lynch (New Hartford), Torres, Dickman and
Alayna Miller (Hilton) opened with a win in the 200-yard medley relay (1:59.72). Dickman,
Emma Bogdanowicz-Wilson (Schenectady), Lynch and Miller won the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:47.61) as an exhibition entry.

At Alfred,
Alyssa Haberlack (Long Beach) punched her ticket to the NCAA regionals with her winning 1-meter score of 409.50 points. She hit the NCAA standard on that board for the first time last week and picked up the second performance she needed on the same board to earn the regional bid. Haberlack also was second in 3-meter diving (385.85 points).

Megan McLaughlin (Avon) won 3-meter diving with a score of 398.50 points and finished third on the 1-meter board (366.05 points).
Samantha Matthes (Saint James/Smithtown East) placed third in the 3-meter competition (375.85 points) and fourth in the 1-meter event (361.35 points).

Cortland will compete in a combined championship with schools from the SUNYAC and the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Feb. 19-22 at the Flickinger Center at Erie Community College in Buffalo. The conferences are holding a joint championship meet for the first time this season.
