Cortland senior outfielder Halle Wright (Ballston Spa) has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Softball Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 23.
 
Wright batted .440 (11-for-25) with a triple, double, six walks and three steals in eight games during the week for Cortland in Florida. She went 4-for-4 with a triple, RBI, three runs and two steals in a 9-6 win over Smith College, finished 2-for-2 with a run scored in a loss to nationally 18th-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater, and went 2-for-3 with a double, walk, three RBI and two runs in a win over the University of New England.
 
Cortland (4-5) will play two games versus nationally 11th-ranked Salisbury and two versus Manhattanville on Saturday and Sunday - one versus each opponent each day - at Salisbury.
