Sophomore women's outdoor track and field thrower Cheyenne McPeek (Johnson City) and junior men's outdoor track and field javelin thrower Tommy Martin (Middletown, NJ/Middletown South) have been named the SUNY Cortland Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 30.

Cheyenne McPeek

Cheyenne broke the school record in the hammer throw with her winning distance of 50.48 meters (165' 7") at the Widener University Danny Curran Invitational. She also finished fifth in both the discus (38.00 meters/124' 8") and the shot put (11.61 meters/38' 1.25"). Her hammer and discus throws are AARTFC qualifiers.

Tommy Martin

Tommy broke a 29-year-old school record in the javelin throw with his distance of 54.95 meters (180' 3") at the Widener University Danny Curran Invitational. He finished ninth at the meet and recorded an AARTFC qualifying distance.
