Gianna Endieveri (Glens Falls) has been chosen as the 2025 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Softball Rookie of the Year and Red Dragon head coach
Molly O'Donnell and her assistants have been named the SUNYAC Softball Coaching Staff of the Year in a vote of the league's coaches.

Endieveri is one of seven Cortland players to earn All-SUNYAC honors, with all seven earning first-team recognition. She's joined on the all-league team by sophomore second baseman

Endieveri is 9-4 this season with two saves and a 2.28 ERA in 20 appearances, 12 as a starter. She's struck out 76 batters in 80 innings. In SUNYAC regular-season action she went 7-1 with a save and a 0.91 ERA, allowing 41 hits and eight walks and striking out 47 batters in 46 innings. She tossed a five-inning no-hitter in a win over Oswego.

Cummings has started 33 games this spring and is batting .396 with a team-high 10 doubles. She also has a triple, homer, 18 RBI and 24 runs scored. Cummings has a .513 on-base percentage as she has been hit by pitches 16 times along with drawing six walks. Cummings batted .412 in 18 SUNYAC regular-season games.

McAnally has played in 35 games, 34 as a starter, and is hitting .396 with three doubles, a triple, 17 RBI, 24 runs scored and nine steals. She batted .450 in 18 conference regular-season games, and she singled home the winning run in the bottom of the seventh in the SUNYAC tournament championship round versus Oneonta.

Smith has started all 37 games this spring, primarily at third base with a couple of games at catcher. She's batting .306 with eight doubles, a triple, a homer, 23 RBI and 29 runs scored. She's walked 18 times and has stolen eight bases. Smith hit at a .383 clip in 18 SUNYAC regular-season games.

Ornstein has started 34 games, primarily in right field along with some early games at catcher and center field. She's batting .374 with two doubles, 31 runs scored and 10 stolen bases. She ranks third in school history with 52 career steals. Ornstein batted .426 in 18 SUNYAC regular-season games and was named the MVP of the SUNYAC tournament.

Wright was recognized by the SUNYAC for the third time. She was a first team selection and Co-Rookie of the Year in 2022 and was a second team honoree last season. This spring she's started all 37 games and is batting a team-high .413, while also leading the Red Dragons with three triples, 35 RBI, 46 runs and 22 walks. She shares the team lead with Ornstein with 10 steals and also has two homers, eight doubles and a .510 on-base percentage. Wright hit .460 in 18 SUNYAC regular-season contests.

Barry was an All-SUNYAC selection for the fourth straight year; she was a second team honoree in each of her first three seasons with the Red Dragons. She's started 21 games in the circle and has an 11-5 record and 2.63 ERA with 88 hits allowed and 45 strikeouts in 93 and a third innings. In nine conference starts during the regular season she posted an 8-1 record, 1.71 ERA, 36 hits allowed and 30 strikeouts in 45 innings. Offensively, Barry is hitting .352 with eight doubles, two homers, 21 RBI, 13 runs, 19 walks and a .485 on-base percentage in 32 games. She hit .476 in 16 league contests.

Deb Pallozzi and Paige Critella led Cortland to the SUNYAC regular-season title with a 16-2 league mark and the conference postseason tournament title with a 3-0 record as the Red Dragons won their first league crown since 2019. After starting the season with a 4-12 record, Cortland has won 19 of its last 21 games and will take a 23-14 record into NCAA Division III tournament play. Cortland opens NCAA action versus nationally fourth-ranked Rowan on Thursday at 11 a.m. as part of a four-team, double-elimination regional hosted by the Profs.
