Cortland seniors
Emma Madigan (Endicott/Union-Endicott) and
Hannah Green (Endwell/Maine-Endwell) have been named to the 2025 Division III Women's Tennis Academic All-District team for District 3.
The all-district teams are selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). In Division III, District 3 encompasses all schools in New York State. Recipients must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average and meet certain requirements in terms of contests competed in and athletic accomplishments.
Madigan earned an all-district honor for the third straight year. She's a psychology major who entered the spring semester with a 3.98 overall GPA. She finished the 2024-25 season with a 9-2 singles record, primarily at number three singles, and a 7-4 doubles record, mainly at first doubles. She finished 4-1 in singles play and 4-1 in doubles action during SUNYAC regular-season matches.
Green is an inclusive childhood education major who began the spring semester with a 3.51 overall GPA. She played at number four singles and posted a 3-4 overall record and 2-3 conference mark.
Cortland finished the combined fall/spring season with a 6-5 dual-match record. The Red Dragons placed third in the SUNYAC regular season with a 3-2 mark to qualify for the league's four-team postseason tournament. Cortland lost in the semifinals to tie for third place.
