Cortland senior Lisa Schulz (Mönchengladbach, Germany) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Tennis Singles Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 28.

Schulz earned her third SUNYAC Women's Tennis Singles Athlete of the Week honors of the season after she finished 2-0 at first singles in a pair of road matches during the week to improve to 7-1 on the season. She won 6-4, 6-4 against Nazareth's Catherine Zak in a non-league match on Monday and she cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win versus Fredonia's Lucy Prevet on Saturday. Schulz also finished 1-1 in doubles play.

Cortland (4-4, 2-1 SUNYAC), will host Houghton in a non-conference match on Tuesday at 3 p.m. and then travel to Oswego for a SUNYAC contest on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
