CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Cortland women's tennis team posted its first victory of the season with a 7-0 dual-match win over visiting Utica University.

The Red Dragons (1-1) earned the team-scoring doubles point with three victories by a combined 18-1 score.
Christina Massoni (West Babylon) and
Lisa Schulz (Monchengladbach, Germany) won 6-0 at first doubles,
Gabriella Stanley (Niagara Falls/Niagara Wheatfield) and
Alexandra Thut (Poughquag/Arlington) won 6-1 at second doubles, and
Mary Repass (Honeoye Falls/Honeoye Falls-Lima) and
Anneli Adams (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) earned a 6-0 win at third doubles.

Cortland clinched the team victory with wins by Adams at sixth singles, 6-0, 6-0, Schulz at second singles, 6-0, 6-0, and Repass at fourth singles, 6-1, 6-0. The Red Dragons completed the sweep with singles wins by Thut at number five, 6-0, 6-1, Stanley at number three, 6-1, 6-0, and Massoni at the top flight, 6-1, 6-3.
