CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland women's swimming and diving team picked up nine victories, including three double winners, and defeated visiting Oswego, 176-121, in a dual meet at Holsten Pool.
Emma Bouwens (Hilton) was victorious in the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.63) and 200-yard backstroke (2:15.78), and
Ella Garrow (Peru) won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.35) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:34.08).
Alyssa Haberlack (Long Beach) captured win in both 1-meter diving (234.40 points) and 3-meter diving (204.25 points).
Morgan Hannon won the 500-yard freestyle (5:38.39) and finished second in both the 200-yard freestyle (2:05.05) and 200-yard IM (2:19.55).
Ryann Redmond (Floral Park/Floral Park Memorial) was the 1,000-yard freestyle winner (11:43.23), while
Julia Bryce (Rochester/School of the Arts) won the 200-yard butterfly (2:18.07) and finished second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.13).
Cassidy Torres (Brooklyn/H.S. for Health Professionals) turned in runner-up finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.96) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:37.82).
Auttumn Ayakawa (Honolulu, HI/Coppell (TX)) was second in 1-meter diving (218.40 points) and 3-meter diving (187.65 points).
Rhianna Lynch (New Hartford) finished second in the 50-yard freestyle (26.56) and
Emma Wilson (Red Hook) placed second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:08.38).
Cortland was scheduled to send competitors to Ithaca's Dick Comanzo Diving Invitational on Sunday, but the meet has been postponed due to the weather.
