Junior women's ice hockey forward Kira Cook (Lake Ronkonkoma/Northwood School) and senior wrestler Angelo Centrone (Mahopac) have been named the SUNY Cortland Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 25.

Kira Cook

Kira scored four goals and won 17-of-30 faceoffs in two road SUNYAC victories. She scored twice in a 5-1 win at William Smith on Friday, and she scored twice in a 5-4 win at Buffalo State on Saturday to help the Red Dragons overcome an early 3-0 deficit.

Angelo Centrone

Angelo repeated as the SUNYAC champion at 149 pounds with a 5-0 record at the conference championship in Brockport. He opened the tournament with a pin, followed by three straight technical falls, and he claimed the title with an 18-7 major decision over Ithaca's William Bentrim.
