ROME, N.Y. – Cortland's Gina Milazzo (Greenwood Lake/Warwick Valley) finished in 12th place out of 51 golfers at the Hamilton College Women's Golf Invitational, held Saturday and Sunday at the Rome Country Club.

Milazzo finished with a two-day score of 154. She posted a 79 on Saturday with a birdie and 11 pars, and on Sunday she birdied four holes and parred nine others on the way to a three-over par 75. Wellesley's Caris Lee was tournament medalist with a 146, capped by a two-under 70 on Sunday.

Mimi Rienzo (Stewartsville, NJ/Phillipsburg) tied for 31st place with a 165 (80-85), which included two birdies each day. Chloe Tice (Syracuse/Cicero-North Syracuse) registered two birdies Saturday on her way to an 83, then had eight pars in her round of 85 Sunday to finish 35th with a 168.

Steffi Trombley (Plattsburgh) tied for 42nd with a 174 (88-86). She parred nine holes Saturday and had two birdies on Sunday. Pia Aguilar (Santiago, Chile/Colegio Highlands), as an individual entry, finished 49th (88-91-179), and Kara Dumas (Jefferson/Gilboa-Conesville) finished 50th with a 180 (87-93). Aguilar and Dumas each birdied a hole during Sunday's action.
 
Cortland finished eighth in the team standings with a final score of 660. The Red Dragons recorded a 329 Saturday and a 331 Sunday. Wellesley was the team champion with a 610 (309-301), followed by Hamilton with a 614 (304-310).

Cortland closes out its fall schedule with two tournaments conducted by the Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC). The NWGC Fall Invitational will be held on Monday, Oct. 19, at the Foxfire Golf Club in Baldwinsville, and the NWGC Fall Classic will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Camillus Golf Club.
