MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The Cortland men's basketball team outscored Morrisville 23-3 over the closing eight minutes of the first half to take a 45-19 lead and the Red Dragons defeated the host Mustangs, 90-60, in the final SUNYAC regular-season game for both teams.

Cortland (21-4, 17-1 SUNYAC) won its 13th straight game. The SUNYAC regular-season champion will host the conference tournament semifinals and finals Friday and Saturday. Tuesday's first round will feature fifth-seeded Plattsburgh at fourth-seeded New Paltz and sixth-seeded Morrisville (9-16, 8-10 SUNYAC) at third-seeded Oswego. Cortland will play the New Paltz/Plattsburgh winner and second-seeded Oneonta will play the Morrisville/Oswego winner in the semifinals at times to be announced.

Kendall Arcuri (Staten Island/St. Joseph by-the-Sea) led Cortland with 18 points and seven rebounds, and he added three assists. He was 9-for-10 from the foul line.
Gavyn Pacheco (Hopewell Junction/John Jay-East Fishkill) scored a career-high 14 points, hitting 4-of-7 3-pointers.
Xavier Leveille (Blauvelt/Tappan Zee) made 3-of-5 treys and scored 13 points, and
Joel Davis (Watertown) registered 13 points and three steals.

Isaiah Austin (Albany) made 3-of-6 shots from the arc and scored nine points, and
Chris McDonald (Orchard Park) tallied seven points and shared the team lead with seven rebounds, along with Arcuri and
Aaron Coston (Kerhonkson/Rondout Valley). Coston and
Gaige Armbrewster (Oakfield/Oakfield-Alabama) each dished out five assists and
Nolan Raymond (Queens Village/Vermont Academy) had four assists.

Bruce Wingate finished with 13 points, six rebounds and three steals and Kaelem Haskins scored 10 points for the Mustangs. Jacob Works and Sakhi Shury-Muse each scored nine points.

Cortland shot 50 percent from the field overall (29-of-58), 44 percent (14-of-23) from 3-point range, and 78 percent (18-of-23) from the foul line. The Red Dragons held the Mustangs to 22 percent shooting in the first half and 35 percent overall. Morrisville was 4-of-23 from 3-point range and 6-of-15 from the foul line.
