Coach's Corner - Comments from Cortland Head Coach Steve Patrick:

It was a small but intrepid crew that made the short trip over to Ithaca today to compete in the throwing events! After the recent snow, conditions were generally pretty reasonable to be able to compete.

For the women, Colleen Patrie made a very good day out of the experience – while she didn't hit any new PRs, she was consistently performing well, and worked to execute technique changes across all three events! The same can be said for Jess Neubert in hammer and discus, Molly McMasters in hammer and discus, and Grace Boland across the three throws.

On the men's side, Luke Chamberlain hitting a new PR in shot put is obviously great, with Elliott Supley hitting an outdoor best and moving in the top-five list for that event (taking over 4th place)!

It was great to get this additional opportunity in as the throws squad is working to fine-tune some details and hit qualifying marks ahead of next weekend's (May 1-2) SUNYAC Championships at Cortland.
