Seven Red Dragons Heading to NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships

Seven members of the Cortland men's and women's track and field teams have qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which will be held Thursday through Saturday, May 21-23, at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Cortland's qualifiers are:

MEN:
Kyler Alston, Jr. (Latham/Shaker) - 400-meter hurdles
Isaiah Brunache, Sr. (Bennington, VT/Mount Anthony Union) - Shot Put and Discus
Evan Collette, Jr. (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) - Hammer Throw
Manuel Sepulveda, Jr. (East Rochester) - Triple Jump

WOMEN:
Cheyenne McPeek, Jr. (Johnson City) - Hammer Throw
Jennifer Ndukwu, Sr. (Queens/Metropolitan Expeditionary Learning School) - Hammer Throw
Reilly Quinn, Sr. (Morrisonville/Beekmantown) - High Jump

The field in each individual event consists of the top 22 declared performers. For relays, the top 16 (maximum one per school) qualified.

Previous NCAA history for each qualifier:

Brunache:
2026 indoors: 5th place (First Team All-American), Weight Throw and 7th place (First Team All-American), Shot Put
2025 outdoors: 2nd place (First Team All-American), Shot Put
2025 indoors: 7th place (First Team All-American), Weight Throw and 8th place (First Team All-American), Shot Put
2024 outdoors: 18th place, Discus and 20th place, Shot Put
2024 indoors: qualified for shot put and weight throw; did not compete due to injury
2023 indoors: 20th place, Shot Put
2023 outdoors: 2nd place (All-American), Shot Put

Collette:
2026 indoors: 7th place (First Team All-American), Weight Throw
2025 outdoors: Hammer Throw (did not place)

Sepulveda:
2026 indoors: 8th place (First Team All-American), Triple Jump
At St. John Fisher:
2025 indoors: 7th place (First Team All-American), Triple Jump, and 15th place, Long Jump

McPeek:
2025 outdoors: 21st place, Hammer Throw

Ndukwu:
First NCAA appearance

Quinn:
First NCAA appearance

Thursday, May 21:

3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. CT) - Men's Discus (Brunache)
6:25 p.m. ET (5:25 p.m. CT) - Men's 400-meter Hurdles First Round (Alston)

Friday, May 22:

3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. CT) - Women's High Jump (Quinn)
4 p.m. ET (3 p.m. CT) - Men's Shot Put (Brunache)

Saturday, May 23:

12 p.m. ET (11 a.m. CT) - Women's Hammer Throw (McPeek and Ndukwu)
12 p.m. ET (11 a.m. CT) - Men's Triple Jump (Sepulveda)
3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. CT) - Men's Hammer Throw (Collette)
4:25 p.m. ET (3:25 p.m. CT) - Men's 400-meter Hurdles Finals (Alston)
