In addition, for the second straight year Cortland head coach Steve Patrick and his assistants, Chad Dunham, Peter McGinnis, Curtis Merrick, Maris Seabury, Mitch Makowski and Marissa Formes-Patrick, have been named both the SUNYAC Men's Coaching Staff of the Year and the SUNYAC Women's Coaching Staff of the Year for the outdoor season.

The league's postseason awards are given out following the completion of the NCAA championship meets and recognize performances throughout the entire season.

Alston was an NCAA Division III qualifier in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 17th place nationally. He also won the event at both the AARTFC and SUNYAC meets. Alston also earned All-AARTFC honors as part of Cortland's third-place 4x400-meter relay team, and he was received USTFCCCA All-Niagara Region honors in both the 400-meter hurdles and 4x400-meter relay.

Brunache earned first team All-America honors with an eighth place finish in the discus at the NCAA Division III Championships, and he also finished 18th nationally in the shot put. He earned USTFCCCA All-Niagara Region honors in three events (discus, hammer throw, shot put), and he was the AARTFC Championships Most Outstanding Athlete of the Meet after winning the discus, placing second in the shot put and finishing sixth in the hammer throw. Brunache also was the SUNYAC champion in both the shot put and discus.

McPeek earned first team All-America honors in the hammer throw at the NCAA Division III Championships. She finished sixth in the event with a school-record throw of 54.68 meters (179' 5"). McPeek earned USTFCCCA All-Niagara Region honors in the hammer; she was the champion in the event at the AARTFC Championships and finished second at the SUNYAC Championships. She also finished third in the SUNYAC in the shot put.

For the second straight year, Patrick and his staff were honored by the SUNYAC during both the indoor and outdoor seasons on both the men's and women's sides. This spring Cortland's men repeated as SUNYAC champion, finished second at the AARTFC Championships, and tied for 68th nationally out of 116 schools at the NCAA Division III Championships. The Red Dragons had one first-team and two second-team All-Americans, along with national qualifiers in two other events. Cortland's women repeated as SUNYAC champion, placed ninth at the AARTFC meet and tied for 53rd place out of 129 schools at the NCAA Championships.
