2024-25: Leah was selected as the SUNYAC Swimmer of the Year...Was honored with the SUNYAC Grace Mowatt Award given to the senior female swimmer or diver based on athletic accomplishments and academic achievement...Was the SUNY Scholar Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive year and SUNYAC Scholar Athlete of the Year for women's swimming...Was a repeat selection to the Div. III Women's Swimming and Diving Academic All-District team by College Sports Communicators...Claimed SUNYAC titles in three individual events and earned first team All-SUNYAC honors in six events, three individual and three relays...Won the 500 free with a season-best time of 5:09.32 in the finals...Claimed the 1,650 free with a season-best time of 17:51.92...Won the 200 free with a season-best time of 1:54.88...Member of the 800 free relay team that finished second, and as the top SUNYAC finisher...Part of the 400 medley relay and 400 free relay teams that each finished third, and as the top finisher in the SUNYAC...Competed at 11 meets during the season for the Red Dragons...Named the SUNYAC Swimmer of the Week three times during the season, on Oct. 29, Nov. 26, and Feb. 4.

2023-24: Leah was selected as the SUNY Scholar Athlete of the Year for women's swimming, and was a Div. III Women's Swimming and Diving Academic All-District selection by College Sports Communicators...Claimed the SUNYAC title and earned first team All-SUNYAC honors with a season-best time of 5:03.34 in the 500-yard freestyle at the SUNYAC Championships...Was the runner up and earned second team all-conference recognition in the 200 free with a season-best time of 1:54.76 in the finals...Set the school record in the 1,000 free with an extracted time of 10:37.22 to open the 1,650 free, and finished third for third team All-SUNYAC honors in the 1,650 free...Second team All-SUNYAC as a member of the second-place 800 free relay team, and third team All-SUNYAC as part of the third-place 400 free relay team.

2022-23: Leah earned second team All-SUNYAC honors...Finished as the runner-up in the 200 free (season-best 1:54.70) and in third place in the 500 free (season-best 5:07.19) and the 1,650 free (season-best 17:45.77) at the SUNYAC Championships...Member of the third-place 400 free, 800 free and 400 medley relays at the conference meet.

2021-22: Did not compete.

2020-21: Member of the program but the season was canceled.

2019-20: Named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Year and the C-Club Female Co-Rookie of the Year...Earned first team All-SUNYAC honors...Captured the 500 free (personal-best, school-record 5:03.23), finished as the runner-up in the 200 free (personal-best 1:54.14) and placed fourth in the 1,650 free (personal-best 17:45.01) at the SUNYAC Championships...Member of the second-place 800 free relay (school-record 7:49.11) and the 400 medley relay teams at the conference championships.

High School: Graduated from Groton in 2019...Member of the National Honor Society.

Other: Named the Red Letter Award winner in both 2023-24 and 2024-25 for women's swimming and diving at the C-Club Athletic Awards Ceremony...Member of the honors program at Cortland...10-year member of the Cortland YMCA Stingers...NYS YMCA state champion in the 200 free and 500 free as a high school senior...Parents are Charles and Tammie...Has one sibling Hunter...Mother Tammie Miller Bernhardt is a Cortland graduate and was a three-time national champion in the outdoor 3,000 meters and a seven-time track and field All-American for the Red Dragons...Father Charles wrestled at Tompkins Cortland Community College...Brother Hunter graduated from Cortland in 2024 and was a member of Cortland's swimming and diving program.
