The Cardinals (29-12), who set a single-season mark for victories, will face Farmingdale State College in a 7:45 pm winner's bracket matchup on Thursday, May 30. The Golden Eagles (23-17) will face SUNY Oneonta in an elimination contest at 1:15 pm.

Jurik allowed five hits and two walks to improve to 7-3 on the season. Senior Geoff Martone (GILBERT, AZ/Hamilton) pitched the final inning in relief, retiring the final four batters (striking out two) to record his sixth save of the year.

Both teams opened the contest with no-hitters going through three and a half innings. Jurik struck out seven of the first 13 batters faced, while Brockport senior starter and righthander James Joy (SALEM, NY/Salem)retired 11 of the first 12 batters faced, walking one and striking out two before giving up the game's first hit on a single to right in the bottom of the fourth.

Joy picked up the loss (1-3), giving up five hits, three runs (two earned) and two walks while striking out six in seven innings pitched.

The Golden Eagles struck first with a pair of unearned runs in the sixth inning on two hits and a Fisher error. Freshman third baseman Mike Weakley (LIVERPOOL, NY/Liverpool) hit a single to centerfield to score freshman right fielder Stephen Boronczyk (SYRACUSE, NY/Corcoran) from third and senior left fielder Jeff Jones (LANCASTER, NY/Lancaster) from second.

Fisher opened the bottom of the seventh with a double from freshman second baseman Ben Bostick (ROCHESTER, NY/Aquinas Institute) and a fielder's choice from senior first baseman Jon Gibbs (PITTSFORD, NY/Pittsford Sutherland). Brockport attempted to pick off Bostick at second on the play but returned safely.

Junior catcher Leo Fusilli (ROCHESTER, NY/McQuaid Jesuit) dropped a bunt single to third base to advance the runners before Barresi belted a two-run double to drive in Bostick and Gibbs. Barresi scored the winning run a play later, stealing third base and coming home on an error after Brockport's pick off attempt went errant.

Bostick and Fusilli were the lone players for either team to record multiple hits, both going 2-for-3.
