Andy Brown enters his second season as a full-time assistant coach in 2009 after serving as a volunteer assistant for the Red Dragons in 2007. The older brother of head coach Joe Brown, Brown was a three-sport letterwinner at Canandaigua Academy, graduating in 1984. He played two years of junior college baseball and, while serving in the Army in Hawaii, was a player/coach for an All-Army baseball entry in the 1990 Aloha State Games.
Brown was a full-time assistant coach for the Community College of the Finger Lakes baseball team that finished fourth in the nation at the 1992 NJCAA World Series. He was also an assistant coach for the inaugural season of the Newark Raptors of the Northeast Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 1998.
