Cory Haggerty enters his fourth season as a Cortland baseball assistant in 2013. A four-year member of the Red Dragons as a middle infielder, Haggerty was an 18th-round selection by the Chicago White Sox in the 2003 professional baseball draft.
Haggerty, who was a two-time all-region and All-SUNYAC selection and earned first team All-ECAC honors as a junior, finished his Cortland career with a .335 batting average, 147 runs, 27 doubles, nine triples, 15 homers and 97 RBI in 163 games. He’s currently ranked in the top 10 in three career offensive categories -- tied for eighth in triples, ninth in games played and 10th in total bases.
