Jeff Cooke begins his second season as a volunteer assistant coach at Cortland in 2019 after a two-year career with the Red Dragons as a pitcher.
Cooke, who earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics at the College, was a second team All-SUNYAC and a third team ABCA/Rawlings All-New York Region selection as a senior and named the SUNYAC MVP as a junior. In 27 career appearances, including 18 starts, he posted a 15-4 record with two saves, a 2.74 ERA and a 101 strikeouts in 134.2 innings.

Prior to Cortland, Cooke attended Mohawk Valley Community College where he was a member of the Dean’s List and the baseball program.
A native of Rome, N.Y., Cooke competed in baseball and basketball at Rome Free Academy.
