After a two-year playing career with the Red Dragons, Mark DeMilio joins the Cortland baseball staff as an assistant coach in 2016. Previously, DeMilio coached at Manhattanville College and Westchester Community College.
DeMilio played in 75 games, including 62 starts, as a Red Dragon. He batted .336 with 79 runs, 11 doubles, five triples, five home runs, 39 RBI and 14 stolen bases during his career. As a senior in 2015, he led the team with 48 runs and was named the SUNYAC Tournament MVP after batting .438 with two doubles, a triple, homer, seven runs and two RBI in four games. DeMilio also scored nine runs and contributed three RBI in five NCAA Div. III World Series games in helping Cortland capture its first-ever national title.
Prior to Cortland, DeMilio was a two-year member of the baseball team at Westchester Community College and led his Valhalla (N.Y.) High School team to a state title.
