After a four-year playing career with the Red Dragons, Max Rosing joins the Cortland baseball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant in 2015. Rosing, who also works as a graduate assistant in the Cortland athletics department, earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from the College and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the same curriculum.
Rosing played in 148 games with 140 starts from 2011-14, batting .354 with 88 runs, 31 doubles, five triples and 116 RBI. He ranks in the top 25 in five offensive categories. As a junior, he earned first team all-region, All-ECAC and All-SUNYAC honors and was named the MVP of the SUNYAC Tournament. As a senior, Rosing started all 46 games and earned second team all-conference honors.
