Erin Smith joins the Cortland field hockey coaching staff after a stellar four-year career with the Red Dragons in which she finished 12th in career scoring with 94 points on 33 goals and 28 assists.
Smith was named the SUNYAC Rookie of the Year as a freshman and second team all-conference as a freshman and sophomore. She earned first team All-SUNYAC honors as a junior and was a first team NFHCA All-America, all-region and all-conference selection and the SUNYAC Player of the Year as a senior.
Smith, who earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Cortland and is currently pursuing her master's degree at the College, competed in field hockey, basketball and softball at Greene Central.
