Jessica Rys enters her first season as an assistant coach on the Cortland field hockey staff in 2014. Prior to Cortland, Rys coached modified lacrosse in the New Hartford Central School District in the spring of 2014.
A graduate of Syracuse University with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education, Rys captained the field hockey club team and played attack on the women's lacrosse club team.
A native of New Hartford, N.Y., Rys competed in field hockey and lacrosse at New Hartford Senior High School. She is currently pursuing her master's degree at the College.
