Sue Carlin

Sue Carlin enters her seventh season as an assistant coach on the Cortland field hockey staff in 2021 after a prolific high school coaching career at Maine-Endwell and Greene Central.

Carlin posted more than 400 career wins, which included 13 Section Four titles, nine state final four appearances and five state championships, over 28 seasons. She guided Maine-Endwell to back-to-back state titles in 1988 and 1989 and led Greene to state crowns in 2002, 2009 and 2012.

Carlin, who earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in physical education at Cortland, was a three-year member of the Red Dragon field hockey team as a back. Prior to Cortland, Carlin competed in field hockey, volleyball, basketball and softball at Herkimer Community College.

Carlin and her husband, John, reside in Greene, N.Y.
