SUNY Cortland Athletics

Tessa Knapp enters her first season as an assistant coach on the Cortland field hockey staff in 2013. Prior to Cortland, Knapp served as a coach with the travel field hockey team the Southern Tier Storm from 2011-13 and worked Marathon field hockey summer camps from 2009-13.

A graduate of Nazareth College with a bachelor's degree in inclusive education, Knapp played two seasons io field hockey for the Golden Flyers. A team captain, she earned second team All-Empire 8 honors and was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad. Prior to Nazareth, Knapp played two seasons at Albany.

A native of Marathon, N.Y., Knapp earned All-America honors in field hockey at Marathon Central. She is currently pursuing her master's degree at the College.
