Tiffany Hubbard

Tiffany Hubbard begins her 10th year as Cortland's field hockey head coach in 2025. She has a combined record of 127-30 (.809) with four SUNYAC tournament titles, four league regular-season crowns and five NCAA Division III tournament appearances.

Hubbard and her assistants were honored as National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Region 3 Coaching Staff of the Year and the SUNYAC Coaching Staff of the Year for the second consecutive season in 2024, after the Red Dragons finished 18-2, won the SUNYAC tournament and regular-season titles, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Div. III playoffs to tie for ninth nationally. The staff garned NFHCA Region 3 Coaching Staff of the Year and SUNYAC Coaching Staff of the Year honors in 2023, also winning conference tournament and regular-season titles, and placing ninth nationally with an 18-2 record. Hubbard was also chosen as the 2017 SUNYAC Coach of the Year after guiding Cortland to an 18-4 record, a SUNYAC title and the NCAA second round for a tie for ninth nationally.

Hubbard has led Cortland to five NCAA tournament appearances in all. Her 2021 squad went 16-3 and earned an NCAA at-large berth after finishing second in the SUNYAC tournament, and her 2022 team went 14-5 and won the SUNYAC title to earn an NCAA automatic berth.

Hubbard's Cortland teams have featured 11 All-Americans, 31 all-region selections and 44 All-SUNYAC honorees, including five Offensive Players of the Year, three Defensive Players of the Year and one Rookie of the Year. The Red Dragons have also earned a combined 70 NFHCA National Academic Squad honors through the 2024 season.

Hubbard came to Cortland after serving as the associate head coach of the field hockey program at Division I Ohio University. Prior to her position with the Bobcats, Hubbard was the field hockey head coach at Division I Georgetown University for seven seasons. The Hoyas received seven NFHCA National Academic Team Awards and placed 66 student-athletes on the NFHCA National Academic Squad during her tenure.

Hubbard earned bachelor’s degrees in business and criminology and criminal justice from the University of Maryland, where she compiled 102 points in 93 games. A three-time NFHCA second team all-region selection, she helped lead the Terrapins to three NCAA Div. I Final Fours and the program’s fourth national title as a senior.
 
A native of Marathon, N.Y., Hubbard competed for the U.S. Under-19, Under-18 and Under-16 field hockey teams and also has been involved in the National Futures program.

Hubbard and her husband, Jay, reside in Marathon with their son, Joshua, and daughters, Joelle and Abigail.
