Bill Castro enters his fifth season as the Red Dragons’ offensive line coach in 2017 after assisting with that position in 2012. He also is the team’s run game coordinator.

The Washingtonville, N.Y., native was a two-time All-America and four-year letterwinning offensive lineman for the Red Dragons from 2008-11. As a senior, he was a team captain and he earned second-team All-America honors and was a first-team All-East, All-ECAC and All-NJAC selection. He competed in the D3 Football Senior Classic in Salem, Va., and anchored an offensive line that allowed only nine sacks in 11 games.

In 2010, Castro was an honorable mention All-America and first-team All-East and All-NJAC honoree. He helped the Red Dragons finish 10-2 and advance to the NCAA second round. Castro also started all 11 games for Cortland as a sophomore in 2009. Bill is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
