Former Cortland linebacker Bill Hauser joins the Red Dragon coaching staff as a graduate assistant in 2008. Hauser earned second team All-New Jersey Athletic Conference honors in both 2005 and 2006, his final two seasons on the team.
Hauser served as an assistant coach at Western New England College during the 2007 season. He coached the team’s linebackers, served as special teams coordinator and was the assistant strength and conditioning coach.
As a junior In 2005, Hauser he led the Red Dragons with 86 tackles, including 16 versus league champion Rowan. He also recorded seven pass breakups and an interception. In 2006, he finished third on the team with 69 tackles and second with three interceptions, including an overtime interception to help defeat Ithaca. Hauser also made 14 tackles in nine games in 2004 and was a member of the program but did not see game action in 2003.
Hauser graduated from Cortland in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management. He is also a 2003 alumnus of Lancaster High School in Western New York, where he was an all-league selection in both football and baseball.
