Former Red Dragon four-year player Chandler Williams will assist with the team’s defensive backs in 2016. As a senior he played in 11 games at defensive back, as well as six games in 2014. He also competed as a wide receiver in the 2011 and 2013 seasons.
Williams is a 2011 graduate of Monticello High School. He helped the Panthers reach the Section Nine Class A football semifinals in 2010 in the program’s first varsity season after a 75-year hiatus. Williams’ uncle, Tony Galbreath, was a running back for the Saints, Vikings and Giants from 1976-87 and was a member of the Giants’ 1987 Super Bowl championship team.
