Dylan Dubuque joins the Cortland coaching staff working with the team's cornerbacks in 2022 after an outstanding athletic career with the Red Dragons.

Dubuque played in 30 games for the Red Dragons as a linebacker and on special teams from 2017-21. As a senior in 2021 he was named an Associated Press Division III Second Team All-American at linebacker and a D3football.com Second Team All-American on special teams. He also earned Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year honors and was a D3football.com First Team All-Region 2 selection (both as a linebacker and on special teams) as he helped Cortland finish with an 11-1 record, win the Empire 8 title and advance to the second round of the NCAA playoffs. In 2019, Dubuque was chosen as an All-Empire 8 honorable mention linebacker.

Dubuque recorded career totals of 160 tackles, including 19.5 for loss, along with three interceptions, seven pass breakups, three forced fumbles, six blocked kicks and 30 quarterback hurries. He scored three touchdowns during his senior season on a fumble recovery, interception return and blocked field goal.

An accomplished wrestler as well for the Red Dragons, Dubuque qualified for the 2019 NCAA Division III Championships, was a two-time All-Mideast Region honoree with a third-place regional showing in 2019 and a fifth-place finish in 2020, and won the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference 197-pound title in 2020. Despite seeing limited action due to his transition each season from football to wrestling, Dubuque posted a career record of 23-6 with 10 pins and three major decisions.
 
A Dean's List student at Cortland, Dubuque graduated in December 2021 with a bachelor's degree in physical education. The East Greenbush, N.Y., native is a 2017 graduate of Columbia High School, where he competed in football and wrestling.
