Greg Frantz is in his second season on the Cortland coaching staff as the team’s tight ends coach in 2016. He also is sharing the role of special teams coordinator with Mike Discenza. Frantz worked with the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League in the spring and summer of 2015 and coached for three seasons at Conestoga Valley High School in Lancaster, Pa., from 2012-14. He coached a variety of areas at Conestoga Valley, including defensive line, tight ends/fullbacks, linebackers, wide receivers and special teams.

Frantz graduated from Millersville (Pa.) University in 2012. He was primarily a tight end and fullback during his four-year playing career with the Division II Marauders, serving as a team captain as a senior. Frantz was a four-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete and earned second-team All-PSAC honors as a junior after catching 11 passes, three for touchdowns. He served as a student assistant coach with the program in the spring of 2012. A native of Lansdale, Pa., Frantz played football and baseball at LaSalle College High School in Wyndmoor, Pa. He graduated in 2007.
