Recruiting Areas: Section 6 and Pennsylvania
Greg Frantz enters his fourth season on the Cortland coaching staff in 2018. He is the Red Dragons’ wide receivers coach, special teams coordinator, and recruiting coordinator. He previously served as the tight ends coach in 2015 and 2016. In 2017, he led a Cortland special teams unit that blocked eight kicks, two of which were returned for touchdowns.
Frantz worked as offensive quality control with the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League in the spring and summer of 2015. He also coached for three seasons at Conestoga Valley High School in Lancaster, Pa., from 2012-14.
Frantz graduated from Millersville (Pa.) University in 2012. He was primarily a tight end and fullback during his four-year playing career with the Division II Marauders, serving as a team captain as a senior. Frantz was a four-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete and earned second-team All-PSAC honors as a junior. He served as a student assistant coach with the program in the spring of 2012. A native of Lansdale, Pa., Frantz played football and baseball at LaSalle College High School in Wyndmoor, Pa. He graduated in 2007.
