Imarjaye Albury begins his first season on the Cortland coaching staff in 2017. He’ll be coaching the Red Dragons’ defensive line.
Albury enjoyed three seasons starting at nose tackle at Division I Florida International University from 2014-16. He also was a member of the Panthers as a redshirt freshman in 2013 after transferring from West Virginia University. A team captain, Albury was FIU’s defensive MVP as a senior after recording 38 tackles. He played in the 2017 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl Senior All-Star Game in Los Angeles and was invited to rookie minicamps by the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Chargers.
The Miami, Florida native graduated from FIU in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management. Albury is a 2012 alumnus of Miami Northwestern Senior High School, where he was a 3-star rated defensive tackle. He earned all-county honors and was the third-highest ranked defensive lineman in the city of Miami. Albury is a cousin of actor and former NBA player Rick Fox.
