Landon Finkel rejoined the Cortland coaching staff in 2021, serving as the team's co-defensive line coach and working with the team's interior defensive linemen. He moved to coaching outside linebackers and rush ends in the spring of 2022 and will be the team's running backs coach in the fall of 2022.
Finkel served as head team manager and defensive quality control coach at Cortland from 2016-20. He assisted with coaching of the team's linebackers and defensive line, made offensive personnel calls from the press box during games, and managed all on-field day-to-day operations, including overseeing 11 managers.
After graduating from Cortland in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in coaching, Finkel served as a graduate intern working with the defensive line at Bethany College in West Virginia during the 2020-21 school year.
A native of Oceanside, N.Y., Finkel played football on the scholastic level from 2013-14 and was a student assistant coach from 2014-16.
