Mike Wutzer joins the Cortland coaching staff in 2013 and will assist with the coaching of the offensive line.

Wutzer graduated from Cortland in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and concentration in coaching. He was named a fourth team All-America and first team All-East offensive tackle by D3football.com as a senior in 2012. He also earned first-team All-New Jersey Athletic Conference honors as the Red Dragons won the league title and advanced to the NCAA tournament second round.

In all, Wutzer played four years at Cortland, three as a starter. He’s a 2009 alumnus of Colonie Central High School, where he played football and wrestled. On the gridiron, the Albany, N.Y., native was a two-time team captain and earned all-section honors as a senior. He worked at Colonie as summer weight room coordinator and offensive line coach from 2010-12.
