Nate Pagan enters his second season on the Cortland coaching staff in 2014 as an assistant working with the team’s wide receivers, kick returners and punt returners. He also will coordinate the punt team this fall.

In his first season at Cortland, Pagan coached All-America receiver John Babin and all-region kick returner Dylan Peebles. In the spring of 2014, Pagan was chosen as a match in Cortland’s “Get in the Game” Bone Marrow Registry and went through the donation process this past summer.

Pagan graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies/professional studies – health and coaching. He played defensive back and wide receiver and returned kicks for the Division II Golden Rams as a three-year letter winner after playing one season at Clarion University in 2008.

At West Chester, Pagan was named the 2010 Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year, and then earned a scholarship in 2011. He played in 10 games in both his junior and senior seasons, and he was recognized on the WCU Athletic Director Academic Honor Roll six semesters from 2009-12.

A Lancaster, Pa., native, Pagan graduated from Manheim Township High School in 2008. He played football and basketball scholastically and was named the school’s Student-Athlete of the Year as a senior. Also in his senior season, Pagan was selected as the Lancaster/Lebanon League Wide Receiver of the Year and was the conference’s basketball Defensive Player of the Year.
