Steve Potter enters his third season as Cortland’s offensive line coach in 2012. Prior to Cortland, the Charleston, W.V., native coached for three years at Bethany College. He coached the offensive line in 2009, the defensive line in 2008 and the running backs in 2007.
Previously, Potter was the varsity offensive and defensive line coach at George Washington High School in Charleston.
Potter played four years and was a three-year letterman along the offensive and defensive lines at Division II institutions West Virginia Tech (2002, 2003) and West Virginia State (2004, 2005). He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from West Virginia State in 2007. Potter was also an all-conference player at George Washington High, graduating in 2002.
