C.J. Hodge enters his third season on the Cortland coaching staff in 2016-17. Hodge comes to Cortland after a standout playing career at Hilbert College.
Hodge spent four seasons with the Hawks, all as a starter, and was team captain for two seasons. He won Team Newcomer of the Year in 2010-11 and completed his career ranked first in career games played and started and second in career assists.
A Rochester, N.Y., native, Hodge graduated from Hilbert in 2014 and is a 2010 alumnus of Gates Chili High School, where he was a member of the football, basketball and baseball teams. The football team captured a Section Five title in 2009, and he was named to the all-county basketball team as well as team MVP as a senior.
