Harrison Hefele enters his second season on the Cortland coaching staff in 2015-16. Hefele graduated from Cortland in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in education. He was a guard for the Red Dragons for four seasons, two as a starter. As a team captain in his senior year, Hefele averaged 9.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for a team that finished 24-5, won the SUNYAC title and advanced to the NCAA Div. III tournament second round.

A native of Greenlawn, N.Y., Hefele was an Early Childhood Teaching Assistant while serving as both the JV boys’ lacrosse head coach and JV boys’ basketball assistant coach in 2013-14 at Friends Academy in Locust Valley, N.Y.

Hefele graduated from Friends Academy in 2009, where he was a member of both the lacrosse and basketball teams. His brother, T.J., is a current Red Dragon player.
