Maurice Kearney begins his sixth season on the Cortland coaching staff in 2019-20 and his second as the program's associate head coach.
Kearney played in 82 games, 51 as a starter, in his four-season playing career at Cortland from 2010-14. He was a two-time team captain, serving in the capacity as a sophomore and senior.

A native of Uniondale, N.Y., Kearney received his bachelor’s degree in physical education from the College in May, 2015, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in health. He played three seasons of basketball and football at Uniondale High School.
Kearney and his wife, Lindsey - a former Cortland women's basketball player and assistant coach - reside in Cortland.
