Serge Clement begins his second season on the Cortland men's basketball staff in the 2010-11 season. Clement is a 2009 graduate of SUNY Potsdam with a bachelor's degree in business economics. During his two seasons with the Bears, he ranked third in the SUNYAC in three-point percentage at 42.6 percent as a senior and was fourth in the league from behind the arc at 43.1 percent in 2007-08.
Clement was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Academic Honor Roll. Prior to attending Potsdam, he played one season as a point guard at Elmira College in 2004-05.
A 2004 graduate of St. John's Prep in Astoria, N.Y., Clement played two seasons of scholastic varsity basketball. He earned all-division honors twice, and was second team All-Queens and honorable mention all-city as a senior.
