Greg Wright begins his third season as an assistant coach for the Cortland men’s lacrosse program in 2015 after a stellar four-year career with the Red Dragons.
Wright, who earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management and is currently pursuing his master’s degree at the College, completed his Cortland career ninth in scoring with 202 points on 97 goals and 105 assists. As a senior, Wright earned first team All-America honors and was named the SUNYAC Co-Player of the Year and an Academic All-American. As a freshman, he was the fourth-leading scorer on Cortland’s NCAA Div. III national championship team.
A native of Irondequoit, N.Y., Wright graduated from West Irondequoit, where he was a four-year member of the lacrosse team. He helped lead the team to a Section Five title his junior season and earned All-America honors as a senior.
