SUNY Cortland Athletics

Matt O’Connell begins his second season as an assistant coach for the Cortland lacrosse program in 2009. O’Connell played four seasons for the Red Dragons from 2003-06, culminating with a national title his senior season.

O’Connell finished his career with 140 points on 66 goals and 74 assists. As a senior, he scored 62 points on 31 goals and 31 assists, received second team All-America honors and was named the ECAC Upstate New York and the SUNYAC Player of the Year and the SUNYAC Tournament MVP.
