Matt Rakoczy joins the Cortland men’s lacrosse coaching staff in 2016 after an outstanding four-year career with the Red Dragons.
A three-time All-America midfielder at Cortland, Rakoczy finished his career ranked 26th in scoring with 151 points on 109 goals and 42 assists. He was a three-time first team All-SUNYAC selection and earned first team All-ECAC honors and was named to the North-South game as a senior. The Red Dragons posted a 24-0 record in conference play, captured four SUNYAC Tournament titles and made four NCAA Div. III playoff appearances during his career.
A native of Clifton Park, N.Y., Rakoczy earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Cortland in 2015. He competed in lacrosse and ice hockey at the Canterbury School and the Albany Academy.
