Mike Abbott begins his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Cortland men’s lacrosse program in 2010 after helping lead the Red Dragons to the NCAA Division III title as a senior in 2006.

Abbott, who also won a Division I national championship while at Virginia, was a two-year member of the Red Dragons and scored 114 career points on 83 goals and 31 assists. He was a two-time first team All-American, was named the ECAC Upstate New York and SUNYAC Player of the Year as a junior and earned first team All-ECAC and all-conference honors as a senior.
