The 2015 season is Nick Fiorentino’s second on the Red Dragons men’s lacrosse coaching staff. Prior to Cortland, Fiorentino served as an assistant coach at Ohio Wesleyan University from 2011-13, helping to guide the Battling Bishops to three straight NCAA Div. III playoff appearances.
Before his stint at Ohio Wesleyan, Fiorentino was an assistant coach in men’s lacrosse and field hockey at his alma mater, Salisbury University, for two seasons. The Sea Gull field hockey team won the 2009 NCAA Div. III national title during his second season on the sideline.
As a member of the Salisbury men’s lacrosse team, Fiorentino won two national titles, including the 2008 season when he was the starting goalkeeper.
Fiorentino, who earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education and a master’s degree in education at Salisbury, competed in golf, hockey and lacrosse at C.W. Baker in Baldwinsville, N.Y., before playing football, hockey and lacrosse at the Canterbury School in New Milford, Conn.
