Paolo Ciferri enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Cortland men's lacrosse team in 2018-19. Prior to Cortland, Ciferri was a member of the coaching staff at Div. I Binghamton University.
Ciferri crafted a notable lacrosse career at Division I powerhouse, Syracuse University. The 2017 All-American appeared in 16 games and recorded 14 ground balls. He was a member of the 2015 and 2016 ACC Championship teams and the 2013 Big East Championship squad. In addition, his 2013 team advanced to the NCAA Div. I Lacrosse National Championship eventually falling to the Duke Blue Devils.
The native of Ithaca, New York, has been involved with lacrosse in the upstate New York area for the past five years. He also served as a coach for Sweetlax Lacrosse from 2014-2015, helping coach multiple teams and provide one-on-one and group instruction. In 2016, Ciferri interned with Summit Lacrosse Ventures to help run operations at the Lake Placid Summit Classic.
